I just finished a Baby Ringmaster from Pat. It was my first laser cut kit and a joy to build. If only my building/finishing skills were as good as his balsa selection and laser cutting! Thought I'd post cause I love seeing anything and everything anyone builds.

Very nice Ronald!! Have you flown it yet, that Black Widow should do it proud.

Not yet, just now putting the finishing touches on it. Shouldn't be long but will probably wait untill I go out to the ranch, our farm.
That just might be this weekend! VD~

Very nice! The baby's are kinda special to me cause it was the first plane i built as a kid, and i found out how much better they fly rather than the plastic ones.

Looks greatttt! How did you paint and cover it?

Looks great friend!
Indeed they do fly much better they fly rather than the plastic ones. I hope you get yours up in the air soon.

Looks great!!
Not to hijack your thread but here is a photo of my electric conversion of Pat King's Baby Ringmaster. It has a 24+ inch wing span and 112 sq inches area (expanded to compensate for the battery weight). I planned to do the maiden flight tomorrow but a high of 15 degrees and bow out of my assistant has sunk that ambition. Sometime in Jan. I will get in that maiden flight.
Happy New Year,
John

Ronald I see nothing wrong with your finish. It looks great. John yours looks great also as I see you went with the transparent covering. Hope both planes fly as well as they look

I followed your build thread at Brotherhood on the e-baby. Looks great.
Mine is a brodak dope finish, Maimi Blue and White. The checkers are from a trim sheet. I brushed it and it is pretty obvious up close. Finding that I really have to thin the paint when brushing, I guess same as when spraying. I hope to try a spray finish on my next 1/2a, Stuntman 23 that is in the beginnings. I want to pick up an inexpensive gravity gun probably from Harbor Freight. Trying to get some building/finishing experience before my next larger build. Not sure if at that time whether or not I'll go with full size Ringmaster to have for next years event or with a Veco or some other stunter.
Tight lines and Happy New Year.
