Hope you like her. She's simple sheet stock, no landing gear as I fly off grass exclusively and will have a Black Widow for motivation. She is finished in clear, semi-gloss polyurethane with a few magic marker stipes. Don't know the weight, but the Black Widow should handle it easily.

Very nice! I think that using the markers is a great idea. They can't add any measurable weight yet add so much to the overall looks and presence of the model.
I have been thinking recently of making one almost identical to this but with built up wings like the Baby Ringmaster has. Or maybe a profile version of the Flying Fool but in this size for a .049 engine. I would also include landing gear simply as my preference.
Good job! :)

Glenn, very impressive!! I like!! Is this from a set of plans or your creation? I very much would like to build one similar, maybe with a little more power. Nice touch with the natural finish. Let us know how it stunts and line length used.

I especially like the piano keyboards on the lower flaps and elevator...
(Just kidding; it looks really good, oughtta be lots of fun.)

Really nice plane, excellent trim work

Thank you all for your kind comments. Ray and Paul, I have sent you an email worth opening! H^^

Did you build it from plans from internet or was it drawn up by yourself?
-
Hi Steven. Actually, someone on another site was building a kit he had and I asked if he would trace the parts for me. He did and this is the result. Since then, another person on that site has drawn up a set of plans. You can see them here http://www.brotherhoodofthering.info/flightline/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2787&posts=10&start=1 H^^

Thanks for the reply im going to try and print them now. :)

Forgive all the questions but what size balsa do i need to use for the fuse, wing, and tail. Thanks
-
I could be wrong, but I would guess 1/4" for the fuselage and 1/8" for the wings and tail feathers (assuming you are doing the sheet wings and not the built up wings). 1/16" doublers on the nose should be more than sufficient.

Thank you all for your prompt replies

John, you are absolutely right on on all the sizes. I cheated a bit and used 1/16th on the tail, but covered them with silkspan to stiffen them.

I had mine out during the Ringmaster flyathon this past year. Mine is Golden Bee powered and painted with Nelson Hobby paints. Its a neat little airplane more maneuverable than expected. Sometimes I have to grease it a little from inverted flight but its a fun plane. Yours looks terrific. Ken

Those of us that are not part of the Ring can't see the link.
