Post by: rich gorrill on June 30, 2017, 10:34:05 AM
Hello all, I just scored a Sterling Baby Ringmaster. I don't build many 1/2 A planes, is there anything special I should know before starting this project

Rudder up top wheels on the bottom. All kidding aside Rich put that good running Golden Bee on there and you'll love it. Fun plane and durable. Actually don't provide rudder offset. Don't use the continuous cloth hinge that was recommended on the drawings either. Use over and under hinges as this will offer free movement.

As Ken implied you want really free moving hinges. Thread hinges work really great on these little guys and as Doc said KEEP it light.
