Title: Baby Barnstormer
Post by: Roger Vizioli on February 01, 2020, 07:27:30 PM
I might need shoulder surgery.
Need a "small" short term building project while healing.
Anyone built a Baby Barnstormer  since 1953? My last one was in 1953. If so, how was it?
Have a kit (for templates), .049 Norvel, .051 Tee Dee, all other reqd "stuff".
I know it wont fly like my 1/2A Pathfinders or my 1/2A Barecat but might be "neat!"
Thx,
Roger V.

Terry Thorkildsen has one with a Medallion .049 on it. It flies just fine.

Thanks Larry!
I "vaguely" remember my 1953 model was underpowered, and probably HEAVY!!!!! . Based on your message, I will use one of my Norvel.049's.

Motorman,
Hmmm, a "Not Humongous" would be an interesting altrnative.     y1

I scratch built this one from the kit plan. It has two coats of nitrate on it waiting for covering. My building partner thought he had some checkered tissue that I wanted to use but couldn't find it. He finally found the tissue and now I can complete this model. I think it is a cute design.
