AP Wasp Silencer.

Hello Everyone,
I am running in my Wasp and I am a little concerned about the spring clip that holds on the silencer. Is it as fragile as it first appears, or is it more than adequate for the job?
Regards,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
I have bench run my Wasp for over 45 minutes now and the muffler is secure but I think in a crash it will come apart flinging the separate parts in all directions. I plan on looping some fine steel binding wire around the exhaust pipe and the pressure nipple to keep the parts together. I don't think the muffler will then come off.
