Hobby People currently is selling the AP Wasp .061 for $29.99. This is a major bargain! They will run the stunt pattern with no modifications (well, a paper-clip bent to keep the throttle open), and most components are interchangeable with the Big Mig .061. One advantage is the bronze bushed crankcase! I have 5 of these engines, and am seriously considering scarfing-up a couple more, just to be safe. I have seen these in action on a throttled scale model and the carb function is excellent too.
Get 'em while they are hot! VD~

I've been curious about the Wasp as a potential replacement for the now-unavailable Norvels, so I ordered one. Thanks for the tip.

That was just the inspiration I needed to buy it. Thanks Larry. Ken

Larry - will the Wasp .061 pull one of the Dick Sarpolus 1/2A profiles as well as a Tee-Dee .049 / .051? I have plans now for the F-86 and Mig-15, was going to use a couple of my Tee-Dees, but at $30 the Wasp is pretty attractive alternate, especially since my supply of Hi-comp glow heads is running low.

The Wasp is easily as powerful as a Tee Dee, probably better. I need to do some testing, I guess.

Not really familiar with those models, but it easily pulled my 11 oz 33 inch "Mini Force", and a pair pulled the 18 oz 44 inch "Confederate" with authority on up to 42' lines

And I just got a $25 off of a $150 order.
Makes buying 5 of them, a $25 each motor. :)
Oops, looks like sale is over.
