Title: Antique 1/2a warbirds
Post by: Dave_Trible on June 24, 2015, 11:02:08 AM
I spent a little downtime putting together a couple old kits to continue my personal flying museum of stuff I built and flew as a kid.  These are newly added.
The Scientific Stuka with Atwood Wasp is the airplane I soloed on at nine years of age.  Had to have it though I had to pay a bunch for it recently on EBay.  Worth it!
The Top Flight Spitfire was another old kit and I put a WenMac on this one.
Hope to fly them soon... Maybe between practice flights.....

Dave

Oh yeah! Very cool! I need to do that also. My first solo was the Sterling Beginner Mustang. No dope or paint job, but used a Majic Marker to draw checker boards on the fuselage to make it look as much like E.D Weiner's Reno racer! I still have the original box, and acquired a kit to put that contents into my old box. Will have to get at that soon to compliment my Cox Stuka!
  Type at you later,
