Aiden trying to fly in some high winds!
« on: March 26, 2018, 09:00:16 PM »
I think he did real good considering he's only got around 5 flights under his belt. I wish we could fly a lot more.

I would second that he's doing really good, especially with the winds. As a bonus, he's got a real good coach!

Thanks Chancey. Haven't heard from you in a while. I hope all is well.
Aiden is showing a lot of interest recently. So last night I got him a short stack of 1/2A's ready. I told him there's plenty more, and an ocean of fuel. Lol.

That's a great looking stack of red fun there. As for things. I had not been too active flying and running engines this past year. I don't know exactly why, but it was just one of those years. Kind of got back into going to the range shooting more. Had a bit of travelling to due to family issues as well. But, not to derail your thread, I am hopefully back as I was before and can balance a couple of hobbies better rather than pick a different one each year.....

Tell that young lad he did good.  Once he gets the hang of what the handle is for watch out as he will be out flying you.   Look at little Sam Londke. H^^

I sure hope so guys! Once he tasted that sweet victory of some solo laps, now he's hooked. Well for now anyway.

Some progress. Aiden flew his 1/2a stuntman with a black widow SEVERAL times today. He flew 3 full 3 min flights, and lots of shorter flights. Lol.
But also,  mom got involved and flew a solo. Nice take off from a hand launch too.

My phone is broke so I didn't get video of Aiden flying, but here's some stills.
The first one is the little blackhawk models stuntman. We tried hard to wear this .049 out today!

Viper 1/2A First Flight

.  I just finished up Sterling Viper 1/2 A this weekend and flew it last night for the first time. It is nose heavy so not real responsive but it really hauls. Will fly with longer lines next time.

Bill,
Love the ship, very nice job, also the stooge. Was surprised that with the long uprights it went off so smooth. Could you post some detail photos of the stooge.

Best,   DennisT
