A little trip down memory lane.
« on: February 03, 2022, 07:32:04 AM »
Decided to build a replica of the first plane I built when I was 13 I think, hard to remember  50 years ago...lol I'd seen Lil Wizards fly saw the adds in the magazines so I had an idea of what I wanted, I used a 4" sheet of balsa for the wing 20 inch span, and laminated to make the 1/4" fuse, elevator was 1/16th, I made my own bellcrank from 1/16th ply, I think I may have used a coat hanger for the pushrod, hey we did what we had to do, right? No dope just rattle can and I don't think I remember the paint coming off.  Anyway this plane taught me how to fly and if I remember it did loops. Some fond memories.  y1 #^
