I got mine at Fisherman's Marine.  I don't know where you are located.  But, my Hi-Viz yellow is about gone, so I have to fall back on my green.  Every time I go to the flying field, I stop in to see if they have any more, since the store is right next to the park where we fly. But they don't seem to want to stock the yellow any more.  And they haven't had 10# test in a couple of years.  I may have to break down and order some online.  I prefer 10# for my 1/2A planes.  I know most people don't go below 20#, but I did some failure tests a few years ago, and the 10# test was breaking at around 18 pounds.  More than good enough for my 1/2A's.

Just looked this up.  10# Hi-viz yellow, 500 yards.  That should last me for years.  I'm gonna order it when I get home:

https://www.amazon.com/PowerPro-21100100500Y-Braided-Spectra-Fishing/dp/B000SHUGXQ/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=power+pro+hi-viz+spectra+10+pound&qid=1622512840&sr=8-13

Didn't have any luck searching for 20# yellow, though.

To stretch out your supply of yellow, just make one line with yellow and the other green. You will still be able to see where your lines are in the grass.

   Type at you later,

I was in the local Bi-Mart this evening to pick up some garage organizer items, and stopped by the fishing department to grab some split rings.  I looked to see what they had for Spectra line and saw this:

Gents,
I asked this in another thread, but I guess it got lost.

Are you tieing off your synthetic on split rings, or straight to the connector (without a split ring) that will then clip to your lead-outs?

Thanks in advance.

I do both, depending on what I'm doing.  I can't give you a hard and fast rule, it is just what I feel like at the time.

The Power Pro labeled as clear is actually white and is just as visible on grass as the yellow.  I've been flying 1/2 a with 15# test Power Pro and have found that it will tear the bellcrank out of a 1/2 a before it will break.  Have fun.

Even the high vis yellow will eventually turn white. It's still better over using moss green.

I just buy the green at Walmart. Usually use 12 pound test for 1/2 A.

+1

AND it will let you differentiate between UP & DOWN line which can be kinda handy!
