Great video from back n the day when people were more interested in getting young people out doors and doing things.  Even though there may have been a cut finger or two.  I lived out in the country kind of and taught myself how to build and fly.   D>K

   I got my wings!!! Some one on here posted the replica certificates that came with them. I found my wings on eBay and after all this time I figured I deserved them!!  Goldberg Models had a similar program where if you got a flight of a certain length, send in a witness signed letter and you got a nice certificate. I have never seen one of those and always wanted one as a kid. i got the flight performance, just didn't have the extra .25 cents to send in for the certificate!!

Dave Hull:
That's our club field in the movie at 14:41. The solid guy in the center flying is Jack Garcia. Maybe Dick Brace flying too according to a longtime member. Others (not yet) recognized.

The site is a bit closer to the dam than the current circles. It was covered up in deep silt somewhere in the 1960's and it was easier to build three new ones on a bit higher ground. We have given those three over to the heli and drone guys and are using two newer circles, but they aren't holding up well. Too much hot sun, too little maintenance, not good enough foundation....
