Bill, I started out with my first .020-powered plane (Queen Bee biplane) on 15' in my backyard, too short, lazy eights were all that saved me!  I cut some 20' and that was better, but finally went to the old 1/2A standard of 27'.  The .020s pull that just fine, my .010-powered stunter even does OK on the 27'.  I had to remove a diseased tree in my backyard so now I can use the 20' lines back there.

Ray, looks like you are having too mucho funno!!!  Love the backyard flying. Still pounding one of your barn doors in the ground about twice a week, balsa to ca ratio getting closer!! Took off the norvel and mounted a medallion to slow it down a little, it is so much fun and still my fav flatwinger. Give us a flight report when you can , might have to get a .020 and try myself. Thanks Ray, health is improving, it's been a hard year...think I can see the end. (of the problems, not of me.)
