You want about 150 - 175 sq. in. wing. Twister is pretty straight forward, might be easy to draw out on paper if you know the aspect ratio and general parameters of a 1/2a stunt plane. I should see if the printer can shrink my FTwister plans.
Motorman
Hi Motorman and Joe, when I saw that Bootlegger was going to use a Medallion .049, I agree that the Sig Akromaster has
too much wing area for the Medallion. Motorman, the Medallion can pull a light(9-11oz) model up to 230sq"s. 150-175 sq"s
is really too small for the Medallion. Please refer to Barry Baxter's 1/2A Stuka stunt design(228 sq"), that flew beautifully(full pattern)
powered with a Cox Medallion .049. The Medallion is actually a better 1/2A(.049) than a TD. 049 engine. Not as powerful of
course, but much more tractable power delivery and fuel economy.
So I suggest you draw up plans for a 220-230sq" Twister, or find plans for Fast Richard's Pinto design. Again, Best of Luck;
