1/2A Pinto Keeps Getting Better and Better
« on: October 19, 2017, 01:50:57 PM »
I've been flying my RSM 1/2 Pinto for some time now and I'm thrilled with it's performance. I have changed my original power plant, a G Mark .061 for a very good TD .051. I was also given a brass tank of about 1 1/2 oz that not only works perfectly, but is giving me about 4 minutes of run time. With this set up, the TD is actually going thru a 4-2-4 break. I'm running a 5 x 4 cox grey prop on 40' of .008 lines. The fuel is my home brew 30%.

I was only flying my Pinto on special 1/2A flying days, but now I'm flying it all of the time. I highly recommend this model!.......PhillySkip

Is that a 2 or 3 blade prop ?   Have you thought about trying longer lines ?  The brass tank, uniflow or not ?  You running the TD on suction ?
