I use leftover 018 flying cable from either retired sets of lines, or trimmed excess when making up lines.  That makes it free!

I do the same as Mike.

Even if you bought a new set it would last you almost forever and be much cheaper than buying packaged leadout sets.

For larger models I went to Cabellos and cleaned them out of .027 fishing leader spools. I can’t tell any difference to Sullivan C size leadout sets.

Find a good music shop who should have a range of various size guitar strings.  They used to sell them individually loose.  Not sure if they still do.  Otherwise, if you have a buddy who plays guitar, he probably has lots of used ones floating about.  They already have a brass eyelet one end.

MM,

PM your physical mailing address. I think I have a bunch of stranded stainless in an acceptable size. I have either .015 or .018.

How much do you need?
