Title: 1/2A Handle
Post by: Chancey Chorney on May 19, 2016, 07:39:38 PM
Hi there. Well, it is not exactly a 1/2a plane, but rather a 1/2a handle I had recently made. Nothing fancy, just something I wanted to try out. It is nothing more than a 1/8" plywood center with 1/4" balsa sides sanded to contour and finished with Minwax Polyurethane. Just thought I would share.

Looks light, what kind of line spacing does it have?

Thank you for the compliments on my little handle. The spacing was just measured at 4 1/4". I would like to sy that it was traced off of a handle that was included in a 1/2a control line kit I acquired recently. The only thing is that the included handle was made of plastic, and I believe made by Merco?

4" spacing? Better have at least a 3" bellcrank or incredibly steady hands and good reactions.  My 1/2 A handles run around 2" spacing.

Really pretty job, though.
