Title: 1/2 A Scientific Kingpin
Post by: Ty Marcucci on July 16, 2014, 02:34:44 PM
I got this kit from my daughter in Miss. She found it at an antique shop, the label mostly gone due to moisture. Survivor of past hurricane. Plans were eaten up by silver fish and rot.

I had one of those way back then.   Had Babe Bee on it.   Don't ask me how it flew as I was still far from doing loops.

The Kingpin was a cute little plane. 14" wingspan.  Better to use a PeeWee or TeeDee .020.

I had a Kingpin back in 1955-56. Used a Cub .049. At the time I had enough room next to the house to fly in.
Nice plane may have to build another someday.

Maybe you could paint it white or yellow,This is a photo of a decal sheet I found on the internet you can use it as guide to paint them on.
