Well lessee what kind of pics I have on hand.  I use the film canisters as tanks themselves, and as containers for floppy balloons and pressure bladders.

I use 1/16" alum. tubing through punched (not drilled) holes, glued in with GOOP. Roughen up the plastic first with sandpaper.  Well cured, GOOP seems pretty fuelproof.

You can get 1 oz. of fuel in a canister, or 3/4 oz. in a balloon inside one.  When I need more (thirsty .061) I put two together with GOOP.

Yup, I do pretty much the same thing with the balloons...I cut a couple of notches close to the end of the fuel line, so the balloon can't accidently seal it off; and use wire ties (bread loaf?) instead of rubber bands. These simple tanks work a whole better than they have any right to. I'm always having to show the skeptics!

P.S. Did you know a Firebaby will still fly with half a wing?

Oh yes, i fly the balloons all the time,( i got the idea from MinnModeler and later saw it on the firebaby) once you figure your own fueling method (be sure to draw any air out when you fuel) and hook up on them ( i use a little piece of copper tubing inside the fuel line where i tie off the balloon, and i roll back the end of the balloon a little where i tie it off) they work great and hold about 3/4 oz of fuel. Biggest problem is finding a good container that doesn't cramp them up at full volume and connecting the container to the plane. Be sure to cut an extra pickup hole in the line as Ray said. They are definitely better than most metal tanks and much easier to handle than bladders! Once you figure out your own set-up for your plane i am sure you will be pleased.

Remember that JW also had a pressure tank back then. Essentially a baloon between two wooden plates with rubber bands around them.

Thanks Ray great pics. I wouldn't have thought to bond 2 together. With the clear container you can also see fuel level another bonus.
