nothing wrong with the small bore stuff. ;D

Glad to hear it went well. I got caught up in helping my daughter re-do a bathroom. Pictures would be wonderful.

I'm not sure but I think we had 17 models there. Jim Howell may have taken some photos. H^^
Ty,
Correct on the count, 17 models there, 8 of them had never been flown before. And, we didn't get around to all of the new ones before the wind picked up and most of us called it quits. There were 4 Goldberg Wizards or Wizard clones, 2 or 3 Firebabys, a couple of log models, a couple of biplanes, and autogyro, a Dennybird, a Blackhawk Models Army Scout, and several original designs. There were two "break parts off" crashes. One of these crashes occurred after the tail weight came off and there wasn't enough elevator authority to get it to climb in its nose-heavy condition. The flight consisted of 10 to 15 skipping "touch'n'goes" before the wheels tripped it over on its back and busted the wing/fuse joint.
The kids - 4 grandsons of the club Prez - did most, if not all of the flying that was done. One of them, Matthew, proudly announced to me that he had made his FIRST successful start-to-engine stop solo on a Wizard. He was stoked.
I only have two pictures. I think that the Prez may have taken a couple more.

First pic,
Well, klutzo can't seem to do it. I'll send the pics over to Ty to see if he can get them in.

Second try for first pic.

Looking good. What control, all them birds flying inverted. Almost makes one think this is the Olympics. Syncronized Control Line Flying... >:D

Second try for second pic

Ok. Stupid question time. Is it me, or is there a control line autogyro in the picture in the back?
-
Ill give it a try for you.

Chancey,
I'm mystified by this newfangled technology. The pics on my desktop are right side up. When I attach the files, the thumbnails show up inverted. But when I click on the thumbnail, the picture that is brought up has inverted the birds flying inverted. (As you can tell, this is the first time that I've tried to post a pic.)

You got it. A C/L autogyro, compliments of the Chief. We couldn't get the reedie to run more than just the prime. Then the wind came up, so it was put away for another day.

Thanks for the report and the awesome pic!
Hadn't seen a 'box of 1/2A's' before!
What is the name of the larger biplane?
It has an upright motor.
Perhaps an OK Cub??
Difficult to tell from the pic.
Reminds me of the Beginner Biplane by Sterling.
Except this one has an upright wooden motor mount.
Thanks again for the pics! H^^

I missed this one. Perhaps we should plan another one at the next meeting.

The box is mine. It's the bottom box of a UHP "Imitation". I tend to keep big boxes. n~ It was the only way I could transport that many models and not have them broken on arrival. The big biplane is Jim's. Not sure what it is. H^^
Actually, the brown/tan biplane on the tarmac is the Prez's. It is a conglomeration of bits and pieces that have been added and deleted over quite a few years. The first time I saw it in an earlier configuration, it was a low-wing monoplane. Not enough area to allow him to have his grands try flying. That's when he added the upper wing and converted it into a biplane. At one point, he said that one of his grands told him that the dirty brown color was like a mud puddle, hence a (temporary ?) moniker of "Mud Flap". I don't remember ever seeing it fly in the biplane configuration. Maybe next 1/2A day! <=
