Title: 1/2 A day at Toys for Tots at Whittier Narrows
Post by: Larry Renger on November 12, 2014, 05:14:48 PM
The Knights of the Round Circle will be holding 3 count them! 1/2A events at Whittier Narrows on Dec 6th.  Hollow Log Proto Speed, Torquette Proto Speed and Leprechuan/1cc Aerobatics. There may be other events sponsored by the racing  and speed dudes. I am attaching the rules. Entry fee is a (minimum) $10 unwrapped toy for donation to the Marines program.

After the events, the Knights and Valley Circle Burners have a holiday party at the Doubletree Hotel down the street. The flyer for this is also attached.

Y'all come!

The speed events, Hollow Log and Torquette will be held in the "cage" oops, protective enclosure on both days. Y'all come. We will fly 1cc/Leprecuan on Saturday. There will be a 5 point bonus for replica scaled and actual OT and Classic models. The Brodak Baby Clown is grandfathered in as a replica since we didn't know how inaccurate it was for about a decade!

It can, however be made into a reasonably accurate scaled down Super Clown with the addition of flaps. I can provide the correct drawing changes. And the result is a better flying model!

Speed on both Sat. And Sun. The Torquette and Hollow log events will be run by the speed gang. I am ED for 1cc/Leprechuan stunt on Saturday the racing guys will be having at it on Satursday.  One $10, unopened, packaged toy to pay for all events.

The Knights of the Round Circle Holiday party at the local Doubltree hotel is on Saturday evening and drop-ins can be acommodated! $37/person for all you can get to before the others  LL~ (they do seem to keep it coming!)

If you plan to fly both days, renting a room and party with us is a fun option. The raffle is spetacular! They really do put on a good buffet, too.
