Tom Morris Stooge
If possible, never fly alone. But for many of us that’s not possible. So, we need a stooge to hold and then release the plane. Having lost planes twice because of poorly designed stooges, I decided there had to be a better way. Then I saw Bob Baron’s design which I have simplified. There is no need to nail this stooge to the ground or pavement. Made of 1/2†steel, weighing over 12 pounds and having a rubber skid proof pad on the bottom, this stooge will stay in place on its on. The release mechanism is located in the center so there is no tendency for it to twist when you pull for release.
