Middlesex May 14
« on: May 15, 2017, 08:52:06 AM »
The weather was perfect...... until 2pm when the thunder signaled an incoming storm. So, we were cut short. Flying started a little after 11 am. A fair amount of time was spent trying to get the pesky Foxes running smooth. Challenging!  Recorded times were Ferraro  99.5, Vigani   99.41, Bobby the Hat (flying in his very first contest with a repurposed 50 + year old team racer and stock Fox)  75.92   Seems like only one recorded time in Perky. TS  99.9.  Clown speed resulted thus.  TS  105.84  Dave Edwards  105.2!  I wish there was more to report but we did our best.  Cheers,  TS

Glad you gents got some flights in.   Thunder storms are nothing to ignore.  I remember many years ago the Sky Devils having a contest at what was a decent CL site and everybody that could was making test flights while the flying order was being set up.   Some one yelled thunder storm coming, take cover.  About the time the car door shut it hit us.   Rain and wind.  Could not see the circle for the heavy rain.   Twenty minutes later rain stopped, sun came out and we had the contest going.    H^^
