Black Hawk Perky kit?
« on: September 07, 2017, 08:00:49 PM »
Anyone know if the Black Hawk Perky kits are still available? I thought BJM was producing them, put in an order on the web site and have heard nothing.

BJM enterprises is Bill Mandakis. He was a distributer of black hawk models. He may be out. I hope he's ok. He and his wife also sold DIY bird house kits and personalized bible story books.
Any how, send Larry Rice a PM. Blackhawk models is out of business. But there was talk of another company buying the rights and starting making kits again.

Current Catalog of the new company shows a Perky for $60

https://blackhawkmodels.com/products/perky

I do know some folks have been successful buying from new company  -mid year 2017 --but others got frustrated and gave up

Attached is a Megow Perky plan, shrunk down to fractional size so the site will take it.  I can send  the 3.6 megaton version by e mail if you wish.

This is only and 18" flat wing model, not a 60" stunter with tapered ribs.  Why pay $60 for a kit you will need to modify when you can build it for less than $15?

Contact Larry Marx over on the Brotherhood of the Wing forum.   He has a set of plans that make the Blackhawk plans look complicated. D>K
