Profile Scale F7F-1 Tigercat

This laser cut kit is for a .15 size F7F-1 Tigercat. The airplane is Profile Scale. It has a 56” wingspan and 553 square inches of wing area. The CAD plans have all parts full size. If you want a great looking twin warbird that isn’t toy sized you will like this one. The first kits will sell for $175.00 postpaid in the lower 48.

Send your email address to: patdk@aol.com and I'll email you 8 1/2 X 11 .pdf files of the plans and the packing list for the kit. The kit does not contain any control system hardware. It contains music wire for the gear, you have to bend it.

 Any chance of a duplicate size/version with a stunt airfoil? Just add two FP/LA.25's... S?P ;D

I can do a version with a symmetrical airfoil. A pair of .25 engines is a lot for an airplane that only has 553 square inches. A pair of .19 engines would be more than enough for this airplane for stunting. The Scale bird should do well for loops, wingovers, and lazy eights with a pair of .15 engines.

 The main reason I suggested the .25's is that they are fairly easy to find, more so than a pair of good .19's it seems. Also, the weight difference between the .19's and the .25's would be practically nothing.
 Square inches aside, there is still 56" of frontal area (=drag) in the wing. Just my opinion, but in a stunt version I'd go with .25's on this design, it's never a bad thing to have some reserve power rather than squeezing the turnip. ;D

 Not sure what you mean by that. Are you saying the tanks would each be between the nacelles and the fuse?

With the wing lower and somewhat thicker at the Nacelles there would not be enough room for a normal tank behind the engines. A 2 oz. Perfect tank would fit. Larger tanks would be mounted to the inside of the circle, opposite the engines.
