Title: EXTRA 330SC
Post by: pat king on August 22, 2014, 05:43:17 PM
This laser cut kit has a 54” wingspan and 594 square inches of wing area. It is for .45 to .53 engines. The EXTRA 330SC won the world aerobatic championship in 2013. The plans are CAD plans with full size templates of all the parts. The kit includes the landing gear. The kit does not include the control system hardware. The airplane will mount an RSM GRW 525U  5 ¼ oz. tank. The tank is not part of the kit. This airplane has a 17 ½% thick airfoil. The first kits will sell for $180.00 postpaid in the continental US.

Thanks,  Pat

I used 1/2 inch outside doubler and inside doubler for vibration this is a little variation from the kit. Note large 2 3/4 in Carbon Fiber Spinner.

Looking good Walter. The kit is Profile Scale. The shape was taken from the manufacturers literature. The full scale airplane is an excellent precision aerobatic airplane, so I don't know why the scale model will not be a good stunt airplane. It may not be as good as some of the top modern stunt designs, but it will be better than a lot of designs.

First flights today on Extra 330 Sc with RO Jett 67 SE. Flew very well turns nice and comes out of corners nice and flat , looks great in the air.
Yes indeed this plane will make a nice profile stunt plane . I really like it and will use it in Advanced stunt and profile stunt.
