Was the SLC over or under the Silkspan? 
If under, what prep did you need for finish. If over, same question.
Also,what was the weight gain before color per square foot of finished area?

i have SLC covered the open bays, brushed dope (4x) and then covered the entire model with sylkspan (5x brusehd dope)
the sylkspan was about 40 years old, almost falling apart
to be honest, i see no point of using SLC again, turns out heavy (due to the dope build up) and i see no advantage against polyspan
first and last time i use it
sylkspan only for sheeted surfaces now. or carbon veil...
i really don´t understand why some modellers uses SLC over sylkspan, ok, will be stronger, but the paint adhesion is poor.
and what´s the point of the sylkspan under it?
