There is a gigantic layout being built in Denver and it is up and running but it doesn't compair to this one. In the same building they have a Big Boy. How many know what a Big Boy is?

Here is a picture taken a few years ago when a Big Boy made a run from Wyoming to either Houston or New Orleans. Compare the size to the size of the men that are servicing it.

Wow! And I thought the exhibit at Balboa Park was impressive . . .  Well, it is, but there's impressive and then there's impressive!

I have seen 4 of the Big Boys but none of them will ever run again. There were 25 Big Boys built. The one in Denver is at the Forney Museum.

That is amazing.  There is a train show on the history channel that had them featured in a little spot.  The grease they use to grease the wheels looks like a rubber stick when it is not being pushed into the wheels

here is an airport being constructed.  Also very cool
