Kind of hard to see, but like this:
As a bushing. Granted, this picture is 1/2A, but it worked, just shave it flush with the back of the hub and screw it onto the shaft. The tube guides it on straight and the nut clamps it down.

That's likely to take some trial and error. Just use metal tubing. Those scrap packages like I posted earlier have every size and they all fit inside and outside each other and you can stack them to combine and form any ID/OD combination you want. All without cussing. Then a drop of CA and belt sand them for the right depth.

Didn't Mark say he uses electric rings?
He did. But I don't buy e Props, so I don't have any.

Plus how in the world do you use a piece of fuel line to center a prop? I see the pictures on APC web site but I totally don't get it.

I can see the fuel tubing working on 1/2a but where are you going to get fuel tubing to work on a 12x4 prop?

Maybe surgical tubing, Chris. I do not know. That's why I keep emphasizing the perfect and foolproof answer that will work every time with any prop in existence... the metal tubing. Do you get how I'm saying to use it?

I was just wondering about all this that's all.

I imagine you are saying us the tubing to build it up in size to make a ring to fit in the back of the prop. I'd probably just turn up an aluminum ring on a lathe.

Yep, when a person does not have machining tools, the old K&S tubing works great.   I also use a lot of it for wheel bearings.  I even have some sizes of tubing I for got what I bought it for.

I beefed up the motor mounts some more, put foam rubber around the tank, put a new tank in it with all new fuel line. Test run the motor an saw the backplate was still bubbling a little. Had a heck of a time getting an aluminum backplate on the motor. You could feel high spots in the crankcase so the case is all warped from crashing. I bought the motor used. Anyway I tried it an still didn't like the run to much. So I tried another used LA 46 an it seems better. Both motors are hogging the fuel up, maybe it's cause it's cooler. Do tongue mufflers cause the engine to use more fuel?  I'm also noticing the airplane does fast tight outside loops than inside. Have to watch how much you move the handle or it really makes a tight loop, what usually causes that?  Didn't do that before I wrecked it.

First thing I'd do is compare the flap to elevator ratio in both directions. Check your stab and wing incidence, at least by eyeballing. Make  sure you don't have too much downward engine thrust.

Yep, we spent yesterday battening down the hatches and securing potential wind-blown projectiles.

I'm surprised some of our more expert trimmers haven't come in and added to or possibly contradicted what I said.

No one had anything to say with my Nobler problem too. I wanted to use that at Huntersville too. I thought it was ok but it's been getting worse.

I don't know if I qualify, but I am dealing with family emergencies.

Families do come before incorrectly working toys, by all means attend to that first!
