How often did the D get replaced with a B model?
Chubby's Checker decided that he liked flying the pattern. I was still fooling with the needle valve so after 2 short-tank flights to make sure everything was working properly, I decided to do the pattern. The third was too fast with 5.07 lap times, but Chubby liked doing the pattern anyway. On the 4th flight he was doing 5.7 second lap times but talked me into it. A little stepping back during the consecutive loops and he was fine. 5th flight was 5.5, still a little too slow, but no problem. No hunting, no funny bubbles or baubles, and nice sharp turns. I think I'll keep this one! Thanks to Tom Dixon and Pat Johnston for such a nice flying design. I've made no changes from my bench trimming.
