Ty,

Even if it doesn't fly you have a really nice model there.   LL~

I'm sure the model will fly nicely.

Is that from Mike's kit?

A challange to say the least.

Good for you!  H^^

These things are a blast.  Just make sure your blades are on reeeellly reeeelllly good.  These things don't glide worth a damn.

I think Jim Lee still has the original rotor and several new ones for his Gyro.    So right about short glide path when rotor comes off.  Also, don't walk back wards when you land.   Need to start on mine when I finish the twin.

At least it should fly. I saw the post and thought it was going to be a picture of the battleship.  #^

When you give that thing up elevator and it takes off for the first time, you are not going to believe it is actually flying...it just looks so strange up there.

That is pretty neat. I saw a quick video of one of these but never saw one in person. What all will these things do?  I assume by your thread description they won't do much but fly in a circle?

Why do you hope it won't loop?
Autogyro can loop!

I think he is probably hoping that it be able to do it on purpose, as opposed to on its own!

He needs to see Jim Lee fly his gyro.

When I first came out with this kit, I was talking to Eric Rule (he cut all the kits for me)  laughing about how maybe 1 or 2 people might buy a kit and he agreed that it would probably not set any kit sales records.  BUT....man did we get surprised.  I ran out of the machined rotor hubs and sold out of kits.  When Allan Perret and I test flew our prototypes we were shocked at how these things flew.  Of course, due to poor pre flight procedures, mine met its demise after a few laps but before then it was a blast to fly and watch.  Just FYI, I have received another batch of machined rotor hubs so if anyone else wants a kit I can now provide about 15 more before the last batch of hubs are depleted.

Have fun TY and let me know how you like the way it flies.

Otto The Gyro with the Max 35-S will be fun if not to active....    Mine currently has a Magnum Pro 45, Yes, 45, and it is  a LOT of fun to fly.  I made a slightly larger Otto several years ago with a big block Fox 45 throttle motor and it would loop even dragging the three lines....   Gyros suck up an immense amount of power...    Like helicopters, they don't fly, they just beat the air into submission!
And the full scale Pitcairn Auto Gyro had loops as a standard part of their demonstration flight....
Enjoy!!!
Thanks
Jim
