Hi Allan

■ engine weight: 332g
muffler 44g (without baffle type)  for al muffler,  the  Carbon muffler weigh slightly more but  is close  to the Al. weight, it is a larger volume muffler

You don't see four-blade props very often.  I wonder if that is the "new thing"?
89 years, but still going (sort of)

Actually they've been around for a number of years in very limited quantities, but I don't think anyone is making them anymore!

In fact Carbon props in general are getting very scarce!

Brian Eather made the only four blades I'm aware of.  He made me a some props about 2 years ago.  He comes in and out of retirement occasionally to make a few.  Don't know his current situation.

NO   not really
Bolly  made  many 4 blades  before that, I sold many to CL stunt guys  in  10   10.5  , 11, and 12 , 12.5 inch 4 blades

Ronnie Farmer,  Bob Gieske , Jim Casales , I used some of them as well  as dozens of others  going back to the 1980s,  may wanna  look  at Dougie too :-)

I even have 4 blade spinners

I used a Bolly 12-4.5  4 blade on a PA65 in a Trivial Pursuit for a long time.  Great combination until I broke it on a rough take off one day!!! Bummer!  Couldn't find another one!  Went back to a 12.25 4.5 three blade...OK but never quite got it to work as well in the wind!

Randy I remember Casales with one but didn't know the brand.  That's about when my missing era began so .....  Surprised I haven't seen them around.  The sense I have about the ones I have is they seem to run a little smoother with less vibration than a three blade.  Might just be happenstance or maybe another dynamic.

Yes the 4 blades  run smooth , 1 reason is the  flywheel effect, they weigh a little  more, and  thus  run smooth, you also can run less diameter, only disadvantage I saw  was  they are  louder

Jimmy used a 11 x 7 Bolly 4-blade for a while, I know that much.
