Yeah, it's mainly a club contest. I don't think we have ever advertised it in Model Aviation ro anything, but any one wanting to come is surely welcome. Like Sean said, we fly our 1/2A golden age speed event ( models should look like 1930's Cleveland racers and powered with Cox .049 reed valve engines, club fuel and Cox 54-3 gray prop.). We also fly Old Tyme Stunt and SAM slow fly. We may have added Perky speed in there at some time, but I can't remember right now. This contest started out as an event put on by the local SAM chapter (NX-211, appropriately) and through the years the Lafayette Esquadrille has taken it over. It's usually a fun time and a way to get the club togerther one last time before Old man Winter takes over.
