The KENHI  MUSTANG  is very good, and  great  for a  OS 30  35 S  or  FOX 35, OS LA 25,  50  sq in  bigger  than VECO  mustang

Matt, I have had two of those SIG kits.  The first met its demise in a wingover when bell crank plat form came loose.  The second one was sold to another modeler, that as far as I know is still flying it.  I put another bell crank mount on the other end of the screw.

Good flying little plane if you don't try for a super finish.  In other words keep it light.  Th wings can be cored out to save a little weight and ditch the plastic components for balsa.  The canopy is okay.  Also put another piece of ply at the other end of the bell crank bolt or rod.

if you have the SIG Mustang, think of it as a "builders kit" and:

- Chop up the wing for rib templates and a leading edge mold (its too heavy anyway) and use the foam cradles to build a "lost-foam" wing
- Use the plastic parts to mold balsa replacements
- Do search to find out how others (was it Todd Lee?) modified it for better performance

Years ago, I kitted the Kenhi Mustang that Randy mentioned at the top of the thread.  I don't remember who bought them and I do not think that anyone ever built one as I never heard from anyone who bought a kit.  I know my friend and fellow club member Allan Perret just bought one from somebody not to long ago.

John Miller did the CAD work for me and Eric Rule cut the kit for me.  I am sure the CAD file still exists somewhere in Eric's computer.  I don't produce full kits anymore but if anyone should want just the laser cut parts, let me know and I will check and see if Eric can cut them.  This is probably the best looking model of a Mustang that I personally ever saw and that is taking nothing away from Pat or anyone else because he does beautiful work.  The original plans were absolutely a work of art.

             I bought one from you mike about five years ago. Two or three years ago it got raffled off at our contest in B.R. It was a very nice kit with great wood. I don't remember who won it, but I'm sure it was never built.
