« on: December 23, 2010, 03:29:01 PM »
Hello folks.
Im searching for the article from the great model, the Miss BJ, published in magazines some years ago.
If possible, I will ask for somebody that has this one, that if he/she could sent me a copy from it.
Many thanks in advance

You can get it from FM and the plans also or Action Laser cutting in the vendors corner has a short kit of it but you'll still need the plans. It fly's great I have an L&J Fox 35 on mine.

Hi Carlo,

Actually, getting anything from FM might be tougher than normal.  I have been told by the powers that be, "to call Maureen, if you need something."  I didn't know that at first and while everyone was nice, it took over three months to get plans. Jan eventually tracked things down and got me the plans.  But, it shouldn't be necessary to have to do that.  "That" process took calling once or twice for over three weeks.  The people there are very nice and polite, I have no problem with them, personally, but ordering through the website is a "no-no".  There seems to be some mis-communication at times.  I am guessing it will return to normal in the future.

Call and ask for Maureen at FM if you need something, I know I will next time I order.  And I will, eventually, order from them again. ;D  (just don't need anything right now)

Carlo,  I have neither the article nor plans, but I would send you a copy of both if I did.  It would probably save you a lot of headaches. ;D

I use to see Bobby all the time at the Atlanta contests when we had the them at the ball park. Bob and I were flying Advanced so we had a lot of good competition. Bob was a very easy guy to get along with and we were good friends. He had several versions of that plane and I am sure I have pictures of all of them.Has anyone seen him? I hope he is still with us. ~^

I found a Miss BJ plan, probably from some South American site, when browsing stuff last year.
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Since the KOI is almost upon us. Here is a picture from the 1987-88 KOI "I think" :! Bobby can be seen with his Mustang on the left with Gene Martine with his Jean Schaffer Stunt Machine behind him and Bill Rich on the right with his BJ  ?.  Tom Dixon  Smoother is in the center. The KOI Advanced winer is far left.

Bobby lives here in Columbus, GA.  Last time I saw him he was retired and doing fine.

Bobby is one of the good guys.
