Landing

I've always just made the best of it where ever the motor quits. What's the best place on the circle to land assuming a 5-10 mph wind.

It seems to work best to touch down a bit ahead of straight downwind, but Expert is just the class I fly in -- it's not a description of what I am at this game.

You want to be mostly downwind for your whole landing so that the plane has some control, so it doesn't loft up into the air, and so that it maintains tension on the line.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

So just past the judges? Down wind for the plane or down wind for the circle?

Straight downwind would be opposite the judges, where you'd normally put maneuvers.
