Dave,

How do you know "At least 2 people want this one bad!"

You know people that are bidding?

I guess, to some, it's worth the money?

Come on, now go look at bid history.   Brand new in the original box, never run and the extras. S?P

It always takes at least 2 interested parties to drive up the price of an auction.  3 or 4 is better.   My hat's off to the seller.  This might really get interesting.  You could already buy 2 brand new Enya 30 BB's for the price of this one Fox.

Check the BID HISTORY on the two main bidders ---  40% and 43% of total bids placed to this seller.   That means OBVIOUS SHILLS jacking up the price.

Bid history should be in single digits or else it's a pump-and-dump.

At last count I have 28 Fox .35 stunt engines in the shop.......all vintages......some brand new in the box, never run, ....so.... I think I will sit this one out.  I do like the Fox .35 stunt, but when it shoots over $200.00, that seems a little pricey in my book.    MAY THE BEST MAN WIN !       D>K     H^^

When you stop and figure that a NIB 50th Anniversary is worth $125 to $150, the seldom seen ABC liner and piston is probably in the $75+ range, and the the hemi head kit in the $35+ range - $275 is right in the ballpark for the package price.

Actually I have what started as a Larry Foster Fox 35, and added an AAC piston and sleeve and a Randy S. Hi Zoot Crank and I have significantly more invested in it than $275.  It's incredibly light and runs very well!  I also know several folks with Foster Foxes converted to ABC with Hi Zoot cranks that spent more than that in total.  Just depends on what you want I guess.

And NO it's not for sale!

The reason it sold for so much was it was new in box, and had an extra  ABC  aluminum piston P/S  set , Plus an  extra cnc stuffer backlate  and  a hemi head, I suspect  someone  just wanted  the  ABC  piston sleeve  set

I must be the only person in the hobby who NEVER owned or wanted a FOX35.  Sorry Duke.

As I see it, the thing about Fox .35's is that used, but not abused, ones run really well for a l-o-n-g time. If you don't want it NIB and settle just for the hemi head and stuffer back plate, you do not need to spend nearly that amount. To have one like Randy's sounds great - light and smooth - but you can get something that starts on the first flip (if not hot) and flies dependably, Fox "burp" and all, for $50 - $100.00, and from swap meets, for very reasonable prices. I like my two, but certainly do know their limitations. The hemi and "stuffer" make a noticeable difference over stock.
