My records may be wrong but they show the Adamisin Typhoon was published in September, 1970.

Great looking plane! I saw the Typhoon with that paint scheme at the RAF
museum a couple of years ago. Very cool!

NV778 is a Tempest, one of the few remaining Napier Sabre powered Tempests. The others are parts airplanes being restored one by Kermit Weeks. The only complete Typhoon is usually at Hendon too, but has been in Canada on loan for a while.

I think sheeted wing stunt planes were flown at the 1949 US Nats. S?P

Al may want to correct me on this, but I think the first Nats that Al flew in was Olathe in 68.  That was when he appeared with his Cavalier Mustang.  (There is a long story about that Nats.  Al was qualified as one of the top 10 qualifiers and was in good position to place well in the finals, but the finals rounds were halted for darkness, the Navy judges walked off, saying their job was done.   Al had to leave for his commitment/schedule as a pilot with the airlines.  Finals were started over the next day, so he ended up in 10th place.  Chances are he would have placed much higher had he been able to stay.  He placed high in the qualifying rounds in his circle.  He flew his Bearcat at the 69 and 70 Nats.  All of Al's Super Semi Scale Stunt Ships (S5) have sheeted wings.
