Everyone know CLW is ending in September. Would there be any interest in CLW online here at Stunt Hangar? John and I are discussing this possibility.$24.95 per year Quarterly.

Post your interest here so John and I know if its worth doing.

I like the idea and the back issue idea. Would be great to read it on our phone or whatever and look up back issues, with digital plans.

Sparky,

The on-line publication CLW would interest me, but I would
be doubly interested to a subscription in a hard-copy !!  I
subscribed to Stunt News last year, using the digital option.
None of the 6 issues have been completely read.  I like the
ability of carrying my SN in the house where ever I want to.

Wonder how many subscribers would be necessary to make
publishing a hard copy a viable business for John.  It's a shame to see one
of the last magazines bite the dust, that is devoted to
controline interests.

Oh, well..."(progress ???)" marches on.

Cheers.

Same editor as CLW currently has now. There will no longer be a hard copy. The reason John is stopping the mag is print and mail costs. So He and I are working on the digital contract. It will be in PDF if you wish a hard copy just print it at home.

I guess everyone has noticed, the ink for printers costs almost as much as the printer itself!  It takes only a few colored prints to deplete the inks!  I stopped buying the colors, and now only print in black.

Therefore, a hard copy of CLW on my printer would be missing the colors, which is the best feature of the printed version.  I'll have to pass on this offer.

Interesting ...

Way back when, Larry Cunningham (remember him?) and I were wondering why CLW wasn't offered in digital format, as was SN. Larry knew John quite well but couldn't convince him that producing a .PDF version would be advantageous, especially as time went by. I guess the time has arrived. You were right on, Larry ...

The sad thing is relatively few responded so far from a base over 4000 members here

400+ subscribers plus advertising was not enough to make print version viable

30 or 50 e subscribers is not encouraging

I have been patiently waiting over two years now for Model Aviation and Carsten's plans service to resurrect... not encouraged with that either

I strongly support an "On-Line" Version of Control Line World (CLW).
The PAMPA magazine and Control Line World, give us our only real steady source of control line articles.
With the exception of Bob Hunt's informative and anticipated columns and an occasional CL article or photographs, the AMA magazine gives us little.
It was a shame that the price increase that John had to put on the "print" version, doomed the magazine.
That said, we should work hard to keep CLW afloat.  Sparky can take it on.  However, we need to make a commitment to him that we will have a steady source of interesting and helpful articles.
Sparky, what kind of help will you need to make this a viable effort?   Joe Colly, NVCL
