Brodak Wildcat Almost the last flight!

Me flying my buddy Dave Fountain's little TD .049 powered Brodak Wildcat yesterday, wringing it out. Almost wrecked it near the end of the video when the motor sputtered while I was overhead with it- didn't even have time to run backwards, I reached out and grabbed the up line and pulled . When I did, the motor caught and it came right out. Pure luck!

Great save. It got pretty wiggly there! Here's my third flight on my brand new RM95 ( video from last year). Engine shut off quickly from a bad run, right at a bad time... Lol

 Nice save, but a bad reflex/instinct to develop. If that was a bigger plane with steel lines you'd likely have ended up with some sliced fingers.

    Indeed. The two ugliest accidents I have seen or heard of were not from prop cuts, but from the lines. If they slide across your skin with any sort of force, you are going to get sliced. One incident was essentially as described here, except with the infamous Skyray 35.

Yes, even 1/2A's can make for a trip to the emergency room if you grab the lines at a bad time.   The plane looks very capable for doing the pattern.

Buncha Killjoys! BUT, ya'll are right, I'll stop and think next time. BTW, that plane just flies awesome, the TD is on bladder pressure with a red cap and is quite the screamer.
