Jim,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I've been raving about aerosol can finishes since I did the Flite Streak 007 Skyfall and the P-40.

Rattle can Rusty talked me into it and, I believe, but I could be wrong, it may have been Dennis Toth who used the 2K Spray Max on his El Diablo, and introduced this brand of high gloss clear to me.

For the kind of models I build, giving little thought to competing in contests, the finish is passible for outside spraying.

Rattle cans and this 2K clear, sprayed in a controled area, and the results would be much better.

Photos do wonders.

Thanks again for the reply.

Charles

P.S.

Jim,

All these models were painted with aerosol cans and the 2K Spray Max clear.

"Edited."

The ARGO II.

Just got the ARGO II on it's legs.

How many flights did it take for you to determine the CG is right on the money.
Chris...

Mark,

Not all that shabby for aerosol cans. Gotta love those aerosol cans.

Weighs the same as my Pathfinder, 55 oz and change. 53" is the span of the ARGO.

I plan on building an ARGO II, which I believe will be much lighter than this one. 5 or 6 ounces possibly.

The CG is right on the money.

Thanks for the reply.

Wynn,

Just saw your reply, sorry I'm late in responding.

Thanks for the compliment.

"I choose my colors wisely." That's close to a line in an movie.

As far as details, I wanted a scheme that was really different and I have this thing for International flags, so I incorporated the flags into the design and the name.

This model came out a bit on the heavy side for it's size, all those construction changes.

I plan on doing better with the ARGO II, Casino Royale 007. That model will be lighter.

Here's the ARGO II, I have a Thread on the ARGO II.

Thanks for the kind reply.

I ordered silk yesterday for the ARGO II from Dharma in CA. I've used their silk before.

Dharma's silk feels much thinner than the Sig Silk I have.  The Sig silk I have says Heavy Duty? I never noticed that before. Unused because it's dark blue, I was saving it for a model with the exposed blue silk color.

Now I'm not sure I should use it because it's Heavy Duty?

Ara,

Great aircraft to model, and it's been done!

I have started drawing the model in my drawing program.

I will build one, and soon.

I don't see the ARGO there though?

Nice comment, but what exactly are you referring to?

Be interesting to know before I reply.  LL~

Glenn, my only Poster.  LL~

Ya gotta dig in a bit, I'm here and there.

Thing is, I get "bumped" quickly, so I'm never out front.  LL~

I have the Gee Bee Z, almost ready for primer. The ARGO II is framed, almost ready for covering.

There's photos someplace, I'd have to look.

I have the Stuka Tank Buster almost ready for another color. I put a photo of that up today over at Paint and Finishing.

I have this other "thing" going, but it's in hiding, like the Mystery Ship. They kept that aircraft hidden.

Oh! Speaking of the Mystery Ship, I started mine. The wing is completed, There was a photo of that someplace.

Hard to keep track when you get buried quickly under other Threads. %^@

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Glenn, thanks for the reply, grab yourself a coffee and please do a bit of digging.  D>K

Hey! Did you see the Luftwaffe Camo thread over at "Scale?" Take a look!
