A question for those of you who have built a Shark15

Just out of curiosity, those of you who have built this model, did you build it with operating or stationary flaps?

Mine has operating flaps.

Mine did not. It flew very well with an Enya 15 engine.

I have built it both ways back in the day (~1974) With and without operating flaps. Used an O.S. .15 III. Good flying plane in either configuration.

I built one years ago as my first flapped model. It flew very well with a Fox 15X. Great flying little plane.

I am building a Shark 30 which is an enlargement (1.33x) of the Shark 15 and will use fixed flaps. The elevators have a compensator at the tips which I believe will help on sharp corners.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a compensator?
Do you mean the elevator is "balanced" with sections outboard that extend forward of the hinge line?
