We love our museum here in Atwater. Friends are volunteers there, maintaining and assembling static subjects that will likely not take flight again...
Our B36 came by train to Atwater, luckily the spur track is still there...brought it up right close. Took awhile with volunteers to fit wings and engines...
We used to fly at the Flying Lady Restaurant, 80 miles west of here... there were actually over a hundred model planes on an overhead tram, which was in constant motion over the restaurant tables.
The city wanted to replace the water supply, and voted for a ransom scheme that forcibly bankrupt the owners!
My question: Does anyone have knowledge what happened to ALL those meticulously finished, previously flown model aircraft???
Another 'museum'? Please enlighten.
