Title: Thunderbird II Differential Flaps?
Post by: Skip Chernoff on March 16, 2017, 11:27:54 PM
I was looking at an old Veco Kit of the Palmer Thunderbird II. What's the deal with the differential flaps? Are they any good?

As a side note I had a T BirdII that I got in a trade with a pal. It flew well until I ran out of fuel overhead.I didn't notice if it had the differential flaps or not. It was a very nice flying model......PhillySkip

No.  Build it without them.

Thanks guys,I don't know when I'd get around to building it with so many projects to finish and so many kits sitting on the shelf, maybe next year.

BTW I started on the retract equipped "electric powered" Shark 45. I'll have all three gears doing their thing. Should be a very cool plane.
