Title: ME BF 109 G from Jack Sheeks - any models, pics or infos ?
Post by: Sport Pilot on October 16, 2011, 04:51:39 PM
Commanders.
IMHO, the BF 109 G from Jack Sheeks is one of the prettiest semi scale models ever designed. Despite this, I never saw any model constructed from this set plans. It will be very nice to see any pics or infos on this very nice plane that may be available.
If my mind dont fail me the original used a ST 35.
Regards
Carlo

Hi Mike,

I have the magazine and plans here.  The original used a ST .46 but it isn't a "large" model for a .46.  A .46LA might be perfect and Jack says you could use a good .35.  Around 1973 IIRC.

Dihedral ( 3/4" as he built his) is mentioned in the article and on the wing tip jigs (I-Beam wing).

There is an earlier Me 109 (not a "G") is Classic legal and that one I built several years ago in Swiss markings!

When I get a new scanner I could scan the article.  Not sure when that is gonna happen.
