Genesis 46
« on: July 26, 2015, 10:57:50 PM »
I picked up a lost foam jig "from a guy #^" at the Nat's this year (I told my wife at the price I'd be crazy to pass) and was wondering what other designs were built with that wing that would be NOS 30?

Thanks,

James

Hi All,

The Genesis 46, or Mk III or "78 (it has been called all of that :) ) was the World Championship model.  I am building mine with a very similar paint scheme as the original as a tribute to Bob's WC and his retirement from competitive CLPA.  It will be powered by a Randy Smith ST G.51 instead of a ST .46 as the original.  It is the biggest of the Genesis series and over 700 sq.in.  The "'80" Genesis is much different with a smaller wing using a swept forward trailing edge (supposedly some ideas from Billy's Juno).  Aaron will be building that one for Nos.30 and probably double duty.

Thanks Bill.  I was thinking if I could find something built with that wing that is NOS legal it would be nice to get one built that you don't see everyday.
