Check all those smiles. Happy to see some younger pilots in the mix.  H^^

And wimmin, don't forget the wimmin! Seriously, there are pictures of some very cool models. The "Meteor" caught my eye; except for the overly huge elevators, it's sweet. The (scale?) biplane with the 4 cycle flat twin is darling!  My only regret is that I can't copy/save the picture of the "Meteor" from the photo site...it's that pretty. Thumbs UP!  y1 Steve

Thanks, John. I'd already taken pictures of the Meteor and the bipe with my Nikon digital. But I haven't up/down loaded them to my confuser yet. If they don't come out too goot, I'll get out the tripod and try again!  ;D Steve

Edit: I could have cropped the computer screen out of the picture, but wanted to show that I really did it the crude way!

Here you go Steve,

I had to reduce the image quality quite a bit in order to get the file size small enough to post, but here you go. This should be better than taking a picture of your screen.

Also, You should create a Flickr account if you haven't already, "Follow" Claudia Kehnen, and ask permission to use the pic for it has a copy right. There are MANY fantastic pics on Claudia's Flickr account.

Cheers mate,
Doug

John, for the black & white puppy, our "field Security dog "  ;D :X ;D,
she was really exited watching the airplanes going round and round  <=.
After a while, she became dizzy from watching and got tired   Z@@ZZZ .
She came all the way down from Belgium to join the Comp.  y1.
She also was watching her Boss flying 1/2 A Diesel Combat  %^@.

Sorry no Ringmaster at the circles but one ARF Flite Streak, Noblers and Cardinals.
To my memory (CL since 69) the Ringmaster was never available at LHS in Germany.
In the sixtees ,it was possible to find one or two Ringmaster kits at AAFEES PX Toyland.
The biggest problem was to find one GI Modeller in the southern part of Germany like
Heidelberg, Stuttgart and Nürnberg, to get a hold of this Sterling CL Kit.

Hey Peter,
I flew my first ( very short!! ) RC flight in about 1966 off of a slope at a huge flying field in between Oberjosbach and Neidernhausen in Germany. Ever been there? Does that field still exist? Man it was awesome....

NO Sirrrr
never been there, don't like flying CL up and down at the hill.
But find Info (Forum), still RC activities at this hill near Oberjosbach-Niedernhausen .
Its not the very first choice for RC Pilots because many trees around now.
Maybe Google Satellite  can help you better,Sorry.

not forgetting the Carrier night rating:
those who did not fly at night, he or she has lost a result. I can tell you that it is almost easier at night – there’s very little wind, the pilots can place the center circle better than by day, so when their foot feels this before landing, they will land on the deck. Stephan has LED position lights which (thanks to a 2.4GHz controller) he can turn on when on the final approach, to great acclaim from the spectators!  Klaus had a LED string around the wing, while others used a chemical snap light with tape affixed to check around 30 degrees. After 11 scoring flights at night, and a very long day, we fell into our sleeping bags at 23:00 – exhausted! Unfortunately I haven’t any photos – I must again speak with Claudia, but it’s not so easy to photograph without light”
here's a picture from last year. Pilot January Odeyn (Bel Winner of this and last year)
also the whole F2B program I have flown.
enclose the evaluation Carrier (BCD)
greeting
Robert

Robert, can you ask Claudia to post these two items on "Navy Carrier Society" facebook page. I think it would be interesting to some if posted there. Wasn't aware that you all do night flights.
