Everyone,
With the Ringmaster Fly a thon scheduled for this past weekend, I thought it would be cool to finish a Baby Ringmaster for the event. Glued the wing to the fuse on Saturday and managed to get in 10 flights on Sunday with it. This was my second airplane when I was younger. Learned 2 things with it right away. Number one is that you do not need as much up on a hand launch as an epoxy laiden Beginner's Ringmaster. Number two was that my dad had pretty good reflexes as he was clear of the area as I complete my first loop passing right through where he stood immediately after launch.
Original Sterling decal split on the paper as I was trying to mount it. Guess I will have to get one from Brodak to complete the look. May have come out a little heavy at 5.5 ozs using all original wood but seems to fly okay. Plastic on the wings and Brodak dope on the fuse and tail. Golden Bee was originally on my dad's Baby Flite Streak and probably had not been run for about 30 years or so, but after unseating the reed it seemed to spin up okay. Good project.
