Flying near Ottawa?
« on: August 24, 2015, 07:56:39 PM »
I'm probably going to be in Ottawa over the first weekend of October.  Is there anyone nearby who's going to be doing the Roundup?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Which Ottawa???    Ottawa KS is only 40 miles from me.   Actually I realize you mean the country north of us. S?P

I have not heard of much activity from that end of the province in some time .

Toronto has an all weekend event with the Ringmaster Round Up as part of it . LA .25 racing Sunday and F2D combat both days .I think . For more details go to www.balsabeavers.com .

I'll see if I can find someone up that way still flying control line .

It looks like a cool event -- but the drive is a bit brutal for me.

The place I'll be working at has a big lawn in front; I'm tempted to pack an electric Ringmaster and a stooge and just have some fun over the weekend.
