Just one of them days.....
« on: August 01, 2015, 07:01:53 PM »
Ok, I am not sure where this really longs.....
I had a problem today that as a kid would have ended the model I am working on....
I have been putting the model outside and mounting it in my workmate snug against the motor bearer and the fuselage....
Now this is a 1/2A electric where the profile fuse has a small section above and below the motor.
The problem is that when I went back outside I found that the wind had ripped it clean off.
So the question is how critical are those extensions to the strength of the profile models ???
I guess the next problem is to figure out some way to mount or hold the model securly so I can paint it and let it dry outside....

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Anything forward of the firewall is for show or aero not structural.
