How do you link Google Drive files to Stunt Hanger ?
« on: July 05, 2015, 09:27:30 AM »
I have a video that I would like to us on the forum, but don't see how to link it to a post on the site.

It is currently stored on the "cloud" as a Google Drive file.

You can't.  GoogleDrive files are private (to you) unless you "Share" them, in which case you have to give specific emails for those allowed to access them.  They don't have a public "URL" to publish.

You would have to download them to your computer and upload to Stunthanger, or put them someplace publicly accessible and insert the URL in your message.

You can set sharing so that anyone can find and view the file.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I stand corrected -- I knew that there used to be a method but when I went to GoogleDrive it didn't come up like that (new interface and old Windows2000 machine).  So to explain HOW to do it: Go to your GoogleDrive folder and navigate to the file you want to link to.  Select that file.  Then click the 'Get Link' icon in the menubar.

You get a drop-down box with the link in it - you can copy/paste it into your message.

(the file below comes up with this link:)
